Our Wellness Pillars
These six pillars guide our approach to creating healthier, more comfortable and more responsible interiors, considering how the spaces we design can support both people and the environment.
Air
Optimizing ventilation and indoor air quality for a healthier, more sustainable living environment.
Light
Strategic use of natural and artificial light to support circadian rhythms and overall comfort.
Materials
Curating healthy, responsible, and durable materials that respect the environment and your health.
Mind
Designing spaces that foster restoration, focus, and emotional wellbeing for the people within them.
Movement
Thoughtful space planning that encourages comfortable movement and accessibility throughout the day.
Nature
Integrating biophilic design to create meaningful connections with the natural world indoors.

Healthier Materials
Considered material and product selections with human and environmental health in mind.
Sustainability & Wellbeing
A healthier interior should also be a more responsible one. Our approach considers both human wellbeing and environmental impact, looking at the materials, products and design decisions that shape a space over time.

We prioritize healthier material choices, durability and longevity, biophilic design, resource-conscious decisions and opportunities to reduce unnecessary waste. The goal is not sustainability for its own sake, but interiors that support the people who use them while making more considered use of resources.

Longevity
Design decisions focused on durability, adaptability and spaces that continue to function well over time.

Resource Consciousness
Thoughtful use of materials, existing elements and resources to help reduce unnecessary consumption and waste.

Energy & Environment
Design strategies that consider natural light, energy use, environmental conditions and connection to nature.
WELL Certification
Design-focused consultation for projects pursuing WELL Certification.
The WELL Building Standard takes a holistic approach to health and well-being in the built environment through ten concepts: Air, Water, Nourishment, Light, Movement, Thermal Comfort, Sound, Materials, Mind and Community.

WELL Certification consultation is provided by RCM Design Group’s in-house WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP), bringing specialized knowledge of the WELL Building Standard directly into the design process. We review your project through a wellness-focused lens, identify applicable WELL strategies within the interior design scope, and provide guidance to help align design decisions with relevant WELL requirements.

Our consultation may include review of space planning, materials and finishes, lighting, movement and accessibility, environmental comfort, biophilic design, and other interior design considerations that can contribute to the project’s WELL goals. Where appropriate, we also coordinate WELL-related design considerations with the broader project team.
*WELL Certification is independently administered and awarded.
